New Delhi, March 15 (H.S.): Tarun Chugh, National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has strongly condemned the grenade attack on a temple in Amritsar, Punjab. He has called for a CBI investigation into the entire matter to expose the forces undermining law and order in Punjab. Chugh expressed concern over the repeated grenade attacks in the region, stating that the government led by Bhagwant Mann's Aam Aadmi Party has completely failed to curb disruptive elements in the state. Previously, such attacks occurred at police stations, but now temples are becoming targets. This is a serious matter.
Chugh addressed the media at the BJP headquarters on Friday that it seems there is an attempt to create communal and social division in the state. He added that the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab is more busy in hosting party leaders who came from Delhi than maintaining law and order. The law and order situation in the state has deteriorated significantly.
Notably, two unidentified youths on a motorcycle attacked the Thakurdwara temple in the Khandevala area of Amritsar district with a grenade. The incident was captured on the CCTV camera installed outside the temple.
