Patna, March 15 (H.S.) : During Holi in Nandlalpur, Munger, youth killed ASI Santosh Singh; five individuals were arrested related to the incident.

On Friday night, police received a report of a brawl in Nandlalpur involving two groups after drinking. ASI Santosh Kumar Singh, on duty, promptly arrived to mediate. However, a member of the Ranveer family attacked him with a sharp weapon, causing him to lose consciousness and bleed. His team rushed him to Munger Sadar Hospital.

Senior police officials were alerted, and after initial treatment, Singh was referred to Patna, where he died at 3 AM. Nandlalpur has been secured, and a manhunt is underway for the assailant. Officials vowed no leniency towards the culprit. Notably, SI Rajiv Ranjan was also recently killed in the line of duty.
