Guwahati, 07 February (HS). Guwahati police has recovered stolen bike, illicit liquor, and other stolen items in separate operations in Guwahati

According to the information given on Friday a team of Paltan Bazar police station arrested a theft accused Nihar Bhuiyan (27) and recovered a KTM bike (AS-01 BX 2883) from him.

At the same time, a team of Panbazar police station caught a person selling illicit liquor near No. 2 Railway Gate, Panbazar during patrolling in the morning. During the search, the team found about 400 liters of illicit liquor in 12 bags.

Apart from this, on the basis of secret information, the team of Basishtha police station raided the dump yard of M/s Smile Ali, where stolen goods related to electric poles were recovered. The dump yard owner fled before the police arrived. The recovered items include one electric pole (weight: 20.460 kg), 34 clamps (used in electric poles), two channel pieces (length: 2 feet, total weight: 10.42 kg), two electric pole pieces (total weight: 9.34 kg), electric wire (weight: 15.92 kg) and one iron cutter machine. Legal action has been initiated against the dump yard owner.

Besides, the special patrol team of Basistha police station recovered one keyless red and black colour Honda Dio scooty (AS-15R-8645) abandoned near Lakhi Mandir, Saukuchi. Investigation revealed that the scooty was stolen on December 17 from in front of Sixmile, Hotel Novotel. The case pertains to Dispur Police Station GDE No. 64, dated 17/12/2024.
