Itanagar, 07 February (HS): Assam Rifles, in collaboration with Central Narcotics Bureau, CRPF and Arunachal Police, have launched a massive anti-opium drive in Namsai district of South Arunachal Pradesh. So far 180 hectares of illegal opium cultivation has been identified, which is estimated to be worth ₹30 crore. So far 22.5 hectares of crop has been destroyed, which has affected militant funding.
