Guwahati, 07 February (HS): Assam Police hosted the matches of the first ever Eastern Zone All India Police Pilot T20 Cricket Tournament from 4 to 7 February at ACA Stadium Barsapara in Guwahati.

Six teams from West Bengal, Odisha, Manipur, Meghalaya, SSB and Assam participated in this tournament. After thrilling matches, West Bengal Police and Assam Police became the two teams to qualify for the quarter finals from the Eastern Zone of the tournament.

The quarter final matches will be played from 18 to 21 February under the hosting of 36th Battalion BSF.

Earlier, on 3 February, Patron of Assam Police and DGP Harmeet Singh (IPS) met the players and team officials at ACA Stadium Barsapara and wished all the teams good luck.
