New Delhi, 05 February (HS): Voting for the 70 assembly seats in Delhi began at 7 am today, with a long queue at many polling stations. Delhi Police have made tight security arrangements, with soldiers guarding every corner.
The triangular contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party, Aam Aadmi Party, and Congress. AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is contesting from New Delhi assembly constituency against BJP's Pravesh Verma and Congress' Sandeep Dixit. Chief Minister Atishi, BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri, and Congress' Alka Lamba are in the fray in Kalkaji. 699 candidates are in the fray on all the assembly seats of Delhi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged voters to participate in the festival of democracy with full enthusiasm and wished special wishes to young friends who are going to vote for the first time.
