28 Feb (HS): Nitin Agrawal, Uttar Pradesh Minister and BJP leader, chastised
the Samajwadi Party and Congress on Friday for their criticism of the just
finished Mahakumbh. Agrawal condemned
their remarks as disrespect to Hindu faith and customs. Speaking on the festival's successes, Agrawal
emphasized the work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath in smoothly arranging and executing the event. He emphasized that opposition comments were
disrespectful to Sanatan Dharma, and predicted terrible consequences in the
2027 elections. He criticized the
Congress for not sending major leaders Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi to the
Mahakumbh.
