Chennai, 26 February(HS): In a shocking revelation, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Wednesday that the DMK-led Tamil Nadu Government is anti-national and embodies corruption.
He blamed Chief Minister M K Stalin and his son Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is also the deputy chief minister for the state of affairs.
The Home Minister’s revelation came within hours of Stalin’s open call for a language war against the Centre.
Stalin had been campaigning across the State that the NDA Government at the Centre was imposing Hindi on non-Hindi speaking States. The Tamil Nadu chief minister has also declared that the DMK would not allow Hindi in the State.
While denying Stalin’s allegations, Amit Shah said that the NDA Government has done a lot to promote and popularize Hindi. “Stalin and his son have institutionalized corruption. Charges of corruption are galore under the DMK ruling dispensation. The anti-Hindi campaign is a façade created by the DMK to cover up charges of corruption against Stalin and his family members,” said Shah.
Shah also declared that the corruption-ridden DMK Government led by Stalin would be thrown out in the 2026 assembly election and the NDA would form the next government in Tamil Nadu to lead the State to the path of development.
Meanwhile, BJP’s Tamil Nadu chief K Annamalai challenged Stalin to show at least a single sentence in the New Education Policy making Hindi compulsory in the State.
Intelligence experts based in Tamil Nadu pointed out that Stalin had strengthened his anti-India campaign over the last few years. “In March 2018, Stalin had declared at Erode that a separate Dravidian country was the dream of the DMK. He also declared that if a situation arises the DMK would strongly support the call for a separate Dravidian country,” said an intelligence official.
A home ministry official said that Governor R N Ravi is fully aware of the DMK’s stance on this issue. As a top intelligence official, Ravi has a vast network of contacts across the State and Stain is under scrutiny,” he disclosed.
