Kampala, February 24 (HS): Uganda Teen Cranes head coach Sheryl Botes has announced the squad for the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup 2025 qualifiers. The Ugandan team will host Kenya in the second round of the qualifiers on March 8, while the return leg will be played in Nairobi eight days later.

Uganda performed brilliantly in the first round and defeated Namibia by a huge margin of 18-1. If the Teen Cranes advance to the next stage, they will face the winner between Cameroon and Ethiopia in the third round. Four of the winning teams of this stage will get a chance to qualify for the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.

Morocco, which will host this prestigious tournament, has already automatically qualified for the World Cup. The competition will be held from October 17 to November 8, 2025.
