New Delhi, February 22 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 19th installment of PM-Kisan in Bhagalpur, Bihar on February 24. Under this, more than 9.8 crore farmers will benefit from direct transfer of more than 22,000 crores. PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Yojana, a central sector scheme launched on 24 February 2019, provides annual financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per farmer family.
The Agriculture Ministry said on Saturday that the 19th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi will be transferred to the accounts of farmers with a click by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 24.
Six years of successful implementation of PM-Kisan Yojana have been completed, which is strengthening the financial assistance of farmers across the country. In this regard, the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India will organize a Kisan Samman Samaroh at Bhagalpur, Bihar in coordination with Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department (AH&D), Government of India, Ministry of Railways, Government of India and Government of Bihar.
While releasing the 18th installment of PM-Kisan, installments were released to about 9 crore 60 lakh farmers. The Ministry of Agriculture is actively making continuous efforts to connect all the eligible farmers who were left out and through these efforts the number of farmers receiving the 19th installment has increased. With the release of the 19th installment, more than 9.8 crore farmers including 2.41 crore women farmers across the country will be benefited, they will receive direct financial assistance of more than Rs 22,000 crore through direct benefits.
