Imphal, 12 February (HS): BJP’s Northeast in-charge, Sambit Patra, met Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhawan on Wednesday morning. His visit has intensified speculation amid the ongoing political uncertainty in the state.

Arriving at Raj Bhawan around 09:55 AM, Patra concluded his meeting by 10:55 AM. However, he refrained from commenting on the political situation despite media queries.

With political maneuvering in full swing, Patra also engaged in discussions with state MLAs at Hotel Imphal on February 11. These meetings, initiated on February 10, are being selectively held with key figures to navigate the evolving scenario.

Ministers and MLAs, including Sapam Ranjan, K. Ibomcha, Sheikh Noorul Hassain, Sapam Kunjeswar, and Minister Th. Biswajit, participated in deliberations focused on peace restoration.

Speaking to the press after the discussions, Sapam Keba emphasized that all decisions lie with the party high command. He noted that the primary agenda was stabilizing the state, with an official resolution expected soon.
