New Delhi, February 11 (HS): The petition of BJP MPs seeking implementation of the Central Government's Ayushman Bharat scheme for the elderly living in Delhi was withdrawn from the High Court. The bench headed by Justice Pratibha Singh allowed the withdrawal of the petition.

The lawyer appearing on behalf of the BJP MPs of Delhi told the High Court that the BJP has won the Delhi Assembly elections and it will implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Delhi in its first cabinet meeting. In this matter, the High Court had issued a notice to the Delhi government on November 28. Earlier, during the hearing on this matter on November 27, 2024, the High Court had expressed displeasure over the poor health system in Delhi. It was said in the petition that the Delhi Government has not implemented this health scheme of the Central Government. It was said in the petition that Aam Aadmi Party Convenor Arvind Kejriwal is not allowing the Central Government's health schemes to be implemented in Delhi for personal interests.
