
Tezpur, 09 December (HS):
A man was killed in the early morning elephant attack at Morabharali Balichapari in Tezpur. The victim has been identified as Guddu Khan, popularly known as Pilpili.
According to local sources, the incident occurred when a roaming elephant suddenly attacked Khan, leaving him fatally injured. The elephant is reportedly associated with Rishiraj Kaundinya, vice-president of Raizor Dal.
Authorities have begun an inquiry into the circumstances leading to the incident. Local residents have expressed concern over rising human–elephant conflict in the area.
