Raigad, 27 Dec (HS): Recognising dedicated work of

Sainath Pawar for problems, rights, training, employment and rehabilitation of

the Persons with Disabilities (Divyang) and bringing them into the main stream

of life, he was selected for the coveted Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2025. Pawar is

an employee of Social Welfare Department of Raigad Zilla Parishad, posted at

Alibag. The award is given by the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Union. The award will

be conferred upon Pawar during a function at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Mumbai on

January 25, 2026 in presence of prominent personalities from film industry.

Sainath Pawar has been taking various government

schemes for the Divyang to them and helping them in rehabilitation. A large

number of Divyang were benefited from his work.

Various organisations of the disabled have welcomed

the decision of Pawar’s selection for the prestigious award.
