East Medinipur, 26 December (H.S.): The body of a young man was found hanging inside a prominent shopping mall in Egra town of Purba Medinipur district early Friday morning. The deceased has been identified as Tabas Shaw (22), an employee of the shopping mall.

As per information, Tabas Shaw's body was found hanging from a noose in a restaurant located on the upper floor of the shopping mall on Friday morning. On information, the police from Egra police station arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and launched an investigation.

The police have sent the body for post-mortem examination. The deceased, Tabas Shaw, was a resident of Lalbazar Palasia area under Mohanpur block of Purba Medinipur.

It is currently unclear whether this was a suicide or a murder. The police are investigating the case from all angles. CCTV footage from the mall premises is being reviewed, and the deceased's colleagues are also being questioned.

The police stated that the exact cause of death will only be known after the post-mortem report is received.
