One person was killed on the spot after being hit by a vehicle allegedly driven by a drug-addicted youth at Lakwa in Assam’s Sivasagar district on Friday, triggering a tense situation in the area following the incident.

The deceased has been identified as Jiten Rajkonwar. According to local sources, the vehicle rammed into Rajkonwar with considerable force, leaving him dead at the scene.
