Nagpur, 23 Dec

(HS): None filed the nomination for for Nagpur Municipal Corporation on the

first day. The process started on Tuesday saw the officers sitting throughout

the day without any work. Filing of the nomination papers in off-line mode has

been allowed.

None turned out

on Tuesday, including those willing to contest independently.

The last day for

filing nomination papers is December 30. Many political parties and alliances

are expected to announce their seat sharing and probable candidates on Wednesday,

after which the nomination forms will be submitted.

The scrutiny of

the nomination forms will be carried out on December 31, and the date of

withdrawal of nominations is January 2. The polling will be held on January 15

and counting of votes on January 16.
