
Chandrapur, 23 Dec (HS): Police has succeeded in
nabbing the main accused in the kidney sale racket. The accused was living in
Solapur, with a name Krishna. He was produced in the court, which granted him
police custody for four days.
A farmer Roshan Kule from Chandrapur had sold his
kidney in Cambodia for financial consideration, through the accused Krishna,
the news about which appeared in media recently. Roshan sold his kidney as he
was deeply indebted and was unable to repay the loans.
Police traced Krishna based on WhatsApp chat and
telephone calls exchanged between him and Roshan. Before leaving for Cambodia
Roshan and Krishna met at Kolkata, SP Mumakka Sudarshan told the media. Roshan
was assured to get Rs 8 lakh for his kidney.
According to police, Krishna had taken 10 to 12
people to Cambodia for removing kidney.
