Lucknow,

23 Dec (HS): On Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath kicked

off and distributed tractors to farmers in Lucknow to commemorate former Prime

Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh's birth anniversary, known as Kisan Samman

Diwas. The ceremony highlighted the state government's emphasis on farmer

welfare and agricultural growth, with the Chief Minister praising farmers for

Uttar Pradesh's overall success. Addressing the audience, Yogi Adityanath

stated that the presence of farmers and their families demonstrated increased

confidence and prosperity in the agricultural industry. Today, we delivered

tractors to pleased farmers who had attended the ceremony with their family.

Today, you can see the growth of the state thanks to the hard work of our

'annadata' farmers, he remarked.

The

Chief Minister congratulated farmers for their contributions to the state's

growth and stated that agriculture has been a priority in administration over

the last decade. We can see the improvements that our farmers have achieved

across the state. Farmers may also be featured on the government's agenda; this

was only feasible after 2014, according to Yogi, emphasizing policy reforms

implemented since then. He also emphasized the need of scientific interventions

in increasing farm output, including the Soil Health Card system initiated

under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration. Many farmers were aware of

the health of their farms thanks to the Soil Health Card, which was implemented

under PM Modi's leadership. Previously, relatively few farmers had soil health

cards, according to the chief minister.

According

to Yogi Adityanath, access to soil-quality information has enabled farmers to

make more educated decisions about crop selection, fertilizer use, and general

farm management, resulting in higher yields and lower input costs. The

ceremony, conducted in commemoration of Chaudhary Charan Singh, generally

recognized as a champion of farmers' rights, saw the state government renew its

commitment to empowering cultivators through mechanization, technology, and

targeted welfare initiatives.
