Chennai, 20 December (H.S.) : The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam has hinted at a significant political transformation in Tamil Nadu following the Pongal festival. K A Sengottaiyan, the chief coordinator of the party administrative committee, stated on Saturday that the state is set to witness a major realignment in the coming weeks.

Speaking to the media at the Chennai airport, he emphasized that all critical decisions regarding the party's future, including the formation of political alliances, will be made exclusively by the party president, Vijay. The leadership underlined that extensive groundwork is already being carried out to ensure a decisive direction for the upcoming electoral challenges.

Reflecting on the party's recent meeting in Erode held on December 18, Sengottaiyan noted that the event garnered national attention. He claimed that nearly three lakh people gathered to support Vijay, describing the turnout as a historic and record setting achievement.

Following this success, senior leaders are scheduled to hold discussions with the party president to finalize the next phase of public outreach and district level programs. Sengottaiyan also indicated that several leaders from other political organizations are expected to join the party soon, further strengthening its organizational structure ahead of future movements.

Authorities within the party have dismissed past controversies and speculations, urging supporters to focus on the future objectives of the movement. Sengottaiyan mentioned that internal discussions would center on steering the party through its next strategic phase while maintaining a distinct ideology.

He stressed that instead of revisiting old issues, the party is committed to a forward looking approach. The leadership's statements suggest a calculated move to position the party as a formidable force in the state's political landscape, with more clarity on strategies expected after the mid January festivities.
