Lucknow/New

Delhi, 16 Dec (HS): Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) delegation led by

its National General Secretary Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki, today met three

Union Ministers in New Delhi and submitted memoranda on key national issues.

The ABVP delegation held discussions with Union Minister for Women & Child

Development Annapurna Devi, Union Minister for Agriculture Shivraj Singh

Chouhan, and Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports Dr. Mansukh

Mandaviya, and presented substantive and solution-oriented recommendations

concerning women’s safety and empowerment, reforms in agricultural education,

and strengthening of the sports ecosystem.

In

its memorandum to the Ministry of Women & Child Development, ABVP demanded

strict measures to curb cyber crimes against women and regulate AI-generated

objectionable content. The organisation also emphasized encouraging adolescent

girls and young women to pursue Science, Technology, Engineering and

Mathematics (STEM) and emerging technologies, conducting nationwide awareness

campaigns on cervical and breast cancer, and increasing the number of

fast-track courts for the speedy disposal of crimes against women. ABVP further

stressed the need to activate Internal Complaints Committees at workplaces and

expand schemes aimed at ensuring women’s economic self-reliance.

Regarding

agricultural reforms, ABVP’s memorandum called for the constitution of a

national-level Indian Agriculture Council, establishment of Central

Agricultural Universities in every state, strict regulation of agricultural

education in accordance with ICAR norms, strengthening of State Agricultural

Universities and Krishi Vigyan Kendras, time-bound recruitment to vacant

teaching and scientific posts, enhancement of budgets for agricultural research

and student fellowships, expansion of agricultural curricula in Indian

languages, integration of agriculture education at the school level under NEP

2020, and promotion of agriculture-based entrepreneurship, innovation, and

technology exhibitions.

In

the memorandum submitted to the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, ABVP

demanded the inclusion of Physical Education as an optional subject in the UPSC

Civil Services Main Examination, implementation of sports quota and mandatory

fitness programmes in all educational institutions, and formulation of a

‘National Sports Readiness Framework’ in preparation for the 2030 Commonwealth

Games. The delegation also highlighted the need to incentivise NCC and NSS

cadets and promote traditional Indian sports as part of India’s cultural and

sporting heritage.

ABVP’s

National General Secretary Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki stated,“Based on the

resolutions passed and suggestions received during the Dehradun National

Conference, ABVP today submitted memoranda to three Union Ministers to seek

concrete and practical solutions to critical national issues. Ensuring a safe

and dignified digital environment for women, bringing uniformity and quality in

agricultural education through a national council, and integrating sports as an

integral component of education are essential to the vision of a developed and

self-reliant India. ABVP remains committed to constructive dialogue,

policy-oriented advocacy, and nation-building through the empowerment of

students and youth. The Hon’ble Ministers have shown a positive approach, and
