The Mutharaiyar dynasty sovereign, who governed from Tiruchirappalli for nearly four decades between the 7th and 9th centuries CE, exemplified administrative acumen, territorial growth, cultural patronage, and martial strength.Inscriptions across Tamil Nadu attest to the emperor's pivotal role in temple endowments, irrigation infrastructure, and Tamil literary advancement, cementing his stature in South Indian annals.
Radhakrishnan commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership in championing Tamil heritage through events like Kashi Tamil Sangamam and systematic recognition of overlooked Tamil monarchs and freedom fighters.Aligning with the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision, the Vice President emphasized preserving India's cultural trove as a national imperative, noting Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiatives that celebrate regional luminaries.
Since 2014, authorities have repatriated nearly 642 stolen idols and artifacts—many from Tamil Nadu—bolstering heritage reclamation efforts.Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, and Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting L.
