On the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day, several Union Ministers and political leaders, including Nitin Gadkari, Manohar Lal, Prahlad Joshi, Harsh Malhotra, and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, urged citizens to adopt responsible energy consumption practices, promote clean and renewable energy, and eliminate unnecessary waste.
Highlighting the importance of collective awareness and sustainable habits, the leaders said that even small acts of energy conservation could strengthen India’s energy security, protect the environment, and ensure a greener and safer future for coming generations.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari emphasized that judicious energy use is a pressing need of the hour. He said saving electricity, embracing clean energy, and reducing waste are vital for protecting the planet. “Our conscious energy choices today will shape a strong and sustainable tomorrow,” he remarked.
Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal appealed to individuals to take a pledge toward energy conservation as part of their daily lives. Stressing the importance of avoiding unnecessary consumption, he said that widespread participation and shared responsibility are essential for building a sustainable future.
Union Minister for Coal and Mines Prahlad Joshi underlined that the energy saved today strengthens India’s energy security for tomorrow. Reaffirming the government’s commitment to responsible energy use, he encouraged citizens to adopt energy-efficient practices and contribute to the vision of a “Clean and Green India.”
Union Minister Harsh Malhotra said that wise energy consumption plays a key role in preserving the environment. He called for electricity savings, cleaner energy choices, and reduced wastage, noting that small and consistent efforts can collectively create a durable and empowered future.
Former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik observed that “every watt saved is a step towards a sustainable future.” Urging citizens to adopt renewable energy and minimize wastage, he stressed that united efforts can lead to an energy-efficient, green, and resilient India.
