New Delhi, 14 December (H.S.): The Congress party staged a massive rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan on Sunday to protest alleged irregularities in the electoral process, charging the government and Election Commission with collusion to erode democratic institutions. Party workers from across states converged early morning, joined by top leadership, transforming the venue into a fervent hub of opposition fervor.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, addressing the crowd, declared stopping vote theft a collective duty and accused the BJP of systematically dismantling India's ideological fabric to regress it toward subjugation. He vowed the party would thwart attempts to sow discord between Nehru and Patel legacies, safeguarding constitutional values.

Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi framed the confrontation as a clash between power-hungry forces and truth embodied by the masses, pledging to oust the regime by adhering to Gandhi's principles of satyagraha. The dais featured Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, KC Venugopal, Jairam Ramesh, Sachin Pilot, and other seniors, with former president Sonia Gandhi in attendance after a pre-rally gathering at Indira Bhawan headquarters.
