
Guwahati/New Delhi, 14 December (HS): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday paid a courtesy call on Vice President of India CP Radhakrishnan in the national capital.
During the meeting held at the Vice President’s enclave, Chief Minister Sarma personally congratulated Radhakrishnan on assuming the august office of the Vice President of India. He also extended a formal invitation to the Vice President to visit Assam and witness the transformation and developmental progress achieved by the state in recent years.
The interaction, which lasted for around 30 minutes, was marked by a warm exchange, with the Vice President appreciating the Chief Minister’s gesture.
Later, taking to social media platform X, Chief Minister Sarma said he was honoured to meet the Vice President in New Delhi, congratulated him on assuming office and invited him to visit Assam to see the state’s progress firsthand.----------
