
New Delhi, 10 December (H.S.): President Droupadi Murmu will embark on a two-day visit to Manipur on December 11 and 12, during which she will participate in a range of official programs and public engagements across the state.
According to Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Murmu will be accorded a Guard of Honour upon her arrival in Imphal on Thursday, December 11. Later in the day, she will witness a polo exhibition match at the historic Mapal Kangjeibung, believed to be one of the oldest polo grounds in the world.
In the evening, she will attend a civic reception hosted in her honour by the state government at the City Convention Centre in Imphal, where she will also lay the foundation stones and inaugurate several development projects.
On the second day of her visit, Friday, December 12, the President will pay floral tributes to the brave women of Manipur at the Nupi Lal Memorial Complex. She will later address a public gathering in Senapati district, where she will inaugurate and dedicate multiple infrastructure and welfare projects for the region.
President Murmu’s visit underscores the Central Government’s focus on inclusive development and its continued commitment to honouring the rich cultural and historical legacy of Manipur.
