Prayagraj, 04 Nov (HS): On the call of former Chief Minister Uma

Bharti, Ganga Seva Sankalp Abhiyan was organised at Sangam Nose where thousands

of Ganga devotees gathered from several states of the country.

The program started with Ganesh and Saraswati Vandana. On this

occasion, the chief guest of the program, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh

and firebrand leader Uma Bharti, roaring aggressively about the continuity and

purity of Mother Ganga, said that the campaign for Ganga was started by King

Bhagirath who took it to Gangasagar. Ganga emerged from the feet of Vishnu and

descended on earth through the lap of Brahma and through the locks of Lord

Shiva. She said that during the period of Mughals and British attempts were

made to dam Ganga but no one can imprison Ganga because Ganga is not a river

that runs on the trust of any government nor is it a river that runs on the

strength of any leader. Ganga is a river that runs on the strength of faith,

devotion and penance of saints, sages and crores of Ganga devotees, which no

one can imprison. She further said that in 2014, under the leadership of Prime

Minister Narendra Modi for the purity of Mother Ganga, the Ministry of Namami

Gange was formed, its policy was made and the work was also started but due to

the Corona pandemic, the work has been halted and now it will have to be taken

forward and said that for the purity of Ganga, Justice Girdhar Malviya ji had

made the Ganga Act and now it needs to be implemented because it is very

important to bring the Ganga Act for the purity and continuity of Ganga and

this work can only be done by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi because if Modi

is there then it is possible.

Just as Modi ji built the temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in

Ayodhya and won the trust of the people of the country by abolishing Article

370 and fulfilled his promise, similarly Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji will

also complete the work of Mother Ganga ji and until Modi ji does not complete

the work of Mother Ganga, we will not let him step down from the post of Prime

Minister. She said that Modi ji, take Ganga to Gangasagar just as it has come

from Gangotri, we all are with you.

She said that Ganga is bound in dams; hence it is necessary to

implement Ganga Act. She said that Ganga is related to Ram because it was Ram's

ancestors who brought Ganga to earth and Ram can never deny the ancestors of

his nation, hence just building Ram's temple in Ayodhya will not complete Ram's

work unless the work of Ganga is completed.

She said that the opposition may do politics on Ganga, but

Mother Ganga embraces everyone in her lap and never asks anyone's caste. She said

that Mother Ganga is our cultural heritage and a symbol of universal unity. She

said that Mother Ganga should give wisdom to those who create obstacles in the

work of Mother Ganga.

She said that former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh wanted to

work for Mother Ganga but he could not succeed in front of Rahul Gandhi and he

remained silent. On this occasion, she appealed to the devotees of Ganga that

they will have to come together and take a pledge for the uninterrupted flow,

purity and continuity of Ganga, only then the campaign will be successful. For

the independence of the country, revolutionaries like Subhash Chandra Bose,

Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh etc. played their role in their own way.

And when Azadi Jal Andolan was formed under the leadership of

Gandhiji, we got freedom. She said that when we went alone for Gangaji, people

were saying that the Indians are alone, but I told them to tell the world that

we are not alone, the waves of Ganga moved with us.

Congratulating the Yogi government for the successful

organisation of the Maha Kumbh, she said that Yogi Adityanath, having emerged

from the flames himself, achieves whatever he sets his mind to. She said that

due to the blessings of Mother Ganga and the arrangements made by the Yogi

government, 66 crore people came to the Mahakumbh fair and took bath here,

which created a historical record in the world. After the program, she took five dips in the old Sangam along

with thousands of devotees and Ganga devotees.

The first dip was to express gratitude to Modi and Yogi

government for the successful arrangements of Mahakumbh, the second dip was to

pay homage to the saints and sages who had come to the fair, the third dip was

to acknowledge the goodwill of Prayagraj residents towards crores of devotees,

the fourth dip was to pay homage to the devotees who had come to the Mahakumbh

fair and the fifth dip was to express commitment to the uninterrupted flow,

purity and continuity of Mother Ganga.

Media in-charge Rajesh Kesarwani said that 25,000 Ganga devotees

came to the program from many areas of the country like Madhya Pradesh,

Rajasthan, Uttarkashi, Maharashtra, Western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Purvanchal

Bundelkhand etc. Dr. Vikram Singh Patel,

the contender for Phulpur parliamentary constituency and Yogesh Shukla, the

contender for Allahabad parliamentary constituency, showed their strength. The

program was presided over by Sadhika Parvati Didi Gangotri and coordinated by

Sadhika Samarpita Devi. The organizers of the program were Dr. Vikram Singh

Patel, Yogesh Shukla, Ashwani Patel, Rajesh Kesarwani, Councilor Rishi Nishad,

Narsingh.

Former MP Keshari Devi Patel, Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani, BJP State

Minister Anamika Chaudhary, MLA Sanjay Gupta Bulandshahr, MLA Pritam Singh

Lodhi, Madhya Pradesh, MLA Rajiv Parihar, Babina, MLA David Etah, former MLA

Madhya Pradesh Munna ji, Rajesh Kesarwani, etc. Ganga devotees were present in

the program.
