Delhi, 27 November (H.S.): Patiala House Court in Delhi took cognizance on Thursday of a chargesheet filed by Delhi Police against Chaitanyanand Saraswati and three others accused of indecent acts with female students from a private college. Judicial Magistrate First Class Animesh Kumar scheduled the next hearing for November 29. During the proceedings, Saraswati appeared via video conferencing, claiming senior citizen status and alleging assault by an ASI.

The 1,077-page chargesheet lists 43 witnesses and includes substantial digital evidence recovered during the investigation. Police seized chat records from Saraswati's phone revealing objectionable comments on students' photos in a WhatsApp group, along with a sex toy and five pornographic CDs from his room. The case invokes Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 75(2), 79, 351(2), and 232 for sexual harassment, witness intimidation, and related offenses.

Arrested in Agra, Saraswati faces allegations of targeting economically disadvantaged students, exploiting CCTV access—including deliberate installation near restrooms—to monitor them.

Additional charges involve financial fraud, such as leasing institutional properties to private firms, purchasing luxury vehicles like a seized BMW, and using them for misconduct with girls.
