
SUKMA (CHHATTISGARH), 16 November (H.S.): Three Naxalites Neutralized in Sukma EncounterThree Naxalites were killed in an encounter with security personnel in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district on Sunday. The gunfight took place in a forest near the border of the Bhejji and Konta police station areas during a search operation conducted by a joint team of security forces.
The operation was launched based on intelligence inputs about the presence of Naxalites in the area. The security team comprised personnel from the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
According to police, the bodies of the three slain Naxalites have been recovered, and a search operation is still underway in the area. This incident is the latest in a series of anti-Naxal operations in the Bastar region, with over 262 Naxalites killed in the state so far this year.
