
Chennai, 9 October (H.S.) : The First Heart Foundations Network has achieved a remarkable feat by setting a world record for the longest continuous CPR chest compression marathon on mannequins by a team.
The organization accomplished this feat in Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu, India, from September 28 to 29, 2025, lasting an impressive 30 hours and 40 minutes. During this period, volunteers performed an astounding 2,24,232 chest compressions on two CPR mannequins, surpassing expectations and raising awareness about the importance of timely intervention during cardiac emergencies.
The event, dubbed Pulse30, was part of the celebrations for World Heart Day 2025, with the theme Don't Miss a Beat. The initiative not only showcased the power of community engagement but also empowered citizens to learn life-saving skills.
Over 3 lakh people were inspired, and more than 4,000 individuals received hands-on CPR training. Students from Hindustan College of Arts and Science and PPG College of Arts and Science played a significant role in the event, highlighting the impact of youth-driven social change.
The Indian Book of Records officially certified this achievement, acknowledging the dedication, discipline, and teamwork displayed by the volunteers. The event's success is a testament to Coimbatore's compassionate heart and the First Heart Foundations Network's commitment to saving lives and building a healthier society.
By promoting CPR awareness and emergency response training, the organization aims to equip people with the knowledge and confidence to act decisively during cardiac emergencies.
