MANILA, Philippines , 21 October (H.S.): Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary is spearheading a high-level Indian delegation on a three-day knowledge exchange mission to the Philippines, aiming to bolster collaboration in skills development and labor mobility.

The visit, facilitated by the World Bank, entered its second day on Tuesday, focusing on sharing best practices and enhancing policy frameworks.Jayant Chaudhary, the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education, is accompanied by senior officers from his ministry and representatives from the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Telangana.

The mission's agenda includes a series of strategic engagements with key Philippine institutions, such as the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA). These discussions are centered on sharing expertise in data-driven policy, skills training, and managing international labor migration.

This initiative, running from October 20 to 22, highlights a shared commitment within the Global South to collaborate on human capital development. It aims to foster mutual learning and establish pathways for equitable and sustainable growth through the advancement of skills and entrepreneurship.
