Delhi, 18 October (H.S.): Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on Saturday that Delhi is set to celebrate its first-ever ‘Divya Deepotsav’ at Kartavya Path, illuminating the iconic location with 111,000 earthen lamps.

In a post on the social media platform X, the Chief Minister said the event aims to recreate the divine atmosphere of Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya. When Lord Ram returned to Ayodhya, the entire earth was illuminated with lamps, and when Ramlalla was enshrined in his grand temple, India rediscovered its soul, she wrote.

That same consciousness, that same spirit of Lord Ram's arrival in Ayodhya, is now set to descend upon Delhi's Kartavya Path. The celebration will feature a series of 111,000 lamps, a divine narration of the Ramayana ('Divya Ram Katha'), a spectacular drone show, and various cultural presentations. Extending an open invitation to the public, Gupta urged everyone to be part of the historic occasion.

This is a symbol of the eternal culture (Sanatan Sanskriti) that has for ages proclaimed the message: ‘Ram was, Ram is, and Ram will forever be’, she stated, adding, All are welcome at Kartavya Path from 6 PM onwards to witness this momentous event.
