UCO Bank's Q2 Net Profit Rises to ₹620 Crore; Asset Quality Improves

Delhi, 17 October (H.S.): State-owned UCO Bank on Friday reported a modest 2.82% year-on-year increase in its net profit, which stood at ₹620 crore for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2025-26. The lender had posted a net profit of ₹603 crore during the corresponding July-September period of the previous fiscal year, 2024-25.In a regulatory filing, the Kolkata-headquartered bank announced that its total business grew by 13.23% to surpass ₹5.36 lakh crore as of September 30, 2025.

This growth was supported by a robust 16.56% expansion in gross advances, which reached ₹2.31 lakh crore. Meanwhile, total deposits recorded a healthy 10.85% rise, amounting to ₹3.06 lakh crore for the quarter.The bank also demonstrated a significant improvement in its asset quality.

Its gross Non-Performing Assets (NPA) ratio declined to 2.56% during the second quarter. UCO Bank remains a prominent public sector bank in India.
