Diwali campaign
Our only effort is to bring happiness in everyone's life: Nandi
It is a pleasure to see happiness and smiles on the faces of children:
Abhilasha Gupta Nandi
Prayagraj,
17 Oct (HS): It
is said that happiness increases when shared, and giving happiness is the
foundation of happiness. Embracing this philosophy in his own life, Nand Gopal
Gupta Nandi, Industrial Development Minister of the Uttar Pradesh government,
has been spreading joy among poor and needy families on Diwali for the past
several years, in a unique way, under the campaign Har Ghar Roshni, Har
Ghar Diwali.
He has been celebrating the festival of Diwali with the children living in
various Dalit settlements and slums of his Prayagraj City South Assembly
constituency. Minister Nandi does this because he knows what Diwali is like for
a family that can barely manage two meals a day. How the children's wishes are fulfilled,
because Minister Nandi has lived this life. He has seen it very closely. Today,
God may have made him a successful entrepreneur as well as a successful
politician. But he has not forgotten that life till date. He tries to spread
happiness in people's lives. Like every year, this year too, Minister Nandi
organized Diwali celebrations in a different way with the children living in
various Dalit settlements and slums of his Prayagraj City South Assembly
constituency.
1490 children and their parents from 344 families of Prayagraj City South
Assembly constituency reached Civil Lines Subhash Square in about 104
e-rickshaws. Where Minister Nandi and former Mayor of Prayagraj Mrs. Abhilasha
Gupta Nandi welcomed the children. Minister Nandi and former Mayor along with
the children rode on e-rickshaws and reached City Cart Mall. Where Minister
Nandi and former Mayor made the children do shopping as per their choice. The
children bought clothes and shoes for Diwali.
Minister Nandi and former Prayagraj Mayor Abhilasha Gupta Nandi personally
purchased clothes from the mall and let the children choose from them, picking
out clothes according to their preferences. The children were given complete
freedom to choose clothes, without having to look at the budget or the bill.
They simply had to choose the clothes they wanted. The children did exactly
that. They bought clothes of their choice.
They took us shopping at a store. The children loved the clothes and other
items. The children from the Dalit settlement were overjoyed to receive their
favorite clothes and other gifts. Their joy knew no bounds.
Minister Nandi said that it is heartening to see the joy and smiles on the
faces of children from poor families on Diwali, the festival of sharing
happiness. Everyone, whether rich or poor, has the right to celebrate the
festival. We should all strive to bring happiness to everyone's life. If God
has enabled us to help someone and bring happiness to their homes, we must do
so. He said that as part of this effort, every year we celebrate the festival
of lights with children from poor families and try to bring happiness to their
faces as well. Former Prayagraj Mayor Abhilasha Gupta Nandi said that Diwali is
a festival of joy and sweetness. Celebrating the festival with children in this
way is a pleasant feeling. We should all share happiness with poor children.
