Latur, 17 Oct (HS):

Ahmadpur Police in Latur senized banned ‘Gutkha’ worth Rs 5,03,000, and

arrested two accused illegally transporting the banned substance. Police laid a

trap based on intelligence information to detect the illegal transport of the

banned ‘Gutkha’.

Latur District SP,

Anil Tambe and DSP Mangesh Chavan guided the operation and deputed a team to

detect the Gutkha transport.

The accuse have been

identified as Devanand Gangadharrao Kalyane (5), a resident of Khandali village

in Ahmedpur tehsil, and Baliram Datta Jadhav (42) of Vahad in Kandhar Tehsil of

Nanded District. Police seized Gutkha, cash, mobile phones and vehicle worth Rs 5.03 lakh, and registered

an office against the two. Further investigation has been initiated.
