New Delhi, January 30 (HS): Upholding the spirit of democracy, senior citizens and respected leaders exercised their franchise through voting facility from home in the current elections.

Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's wife Gursharan Kaur cast her vote by taking advantage of voting facility from home. It is noteworthy that in the last Lok Sabha elections, Dr. Manmohan Singh also used this facility to participate in the electoral process. Similarly, former Union Human Resource Development Minister Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi (91) cast his vote from his home along with his wife Tarla Joshi (89). He was registered as an absentee voter in the senior citizen category.
