Senapati (Manipur), 15 January (HS): Security forces arrested a man with suspected opium during a search operation at T. Khullen Naka checkpost in Senapati district.

The arrested man has been identified as Ramesh Kumar (35). 2.037 kg of opium (local name kani), a four-wheeler, a mobile phone, an Aadhar card, a driving license and ₹2,000 in cash were recovered from him.

The case has been handed over to the concerned authorities for further investigation.
