New Delhi, January 15 (HS): The domestic stock market is seeing a bullish trend in early trade for the second consecutive day today. Today's trade also started strongly. However, due to selling pressure immediately after the market opened, the stock market movement also declined, but after the first 20 minutes of trading, buyers again started buying.
With the support of this buying, the stock market movement once again gained momentum. After the first 1 hour of trading, Sensex was trading with a strength of 0.31 percent and Nifty with 0.19 percent.
After the first 1 hour of trading, among the big stocks of the stock market, the shares of NTPC, Maruti Suzuki, Coal India, BPCL and Kotak Mahindra were trading with a strength of 3.14 percent to 1.27 percent. On the other hand, shares of Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Shriram Finance, Mahindra & Mahindra and Axis Bank were seen trading with a decline of 2.44 percent to 1.39 percent.
So far, active trading was taking place in 2,343 shares in the stock market. Out of these, 1,380 shares were trading in the green mark by making profits, while 963 shares were trading in the red mark by suffering losses. Similarly, out of the 30 stocks included in the Sensex, 18 stocks remained in the green mark with the support of buying. On the other hand, 12 stocks were trading in the red mark under the pressure of selling. While out of the 50 stocks included in the Nifty, 28 stocks were seen trading in the green mark and 22 stocks in the red mark.
The BSE Sensex today jumped 400.51 points to open at 76,900.14 points. Profit booking started shortly after the start of trading, due to which the index fell to 76,555.94 points in the next 20 minutes of trading. However, after this the buyers started buying, due to which the movement of this index gained momentum. After the first 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, the Sensex was trading at 76,733.38 points with a gain of 233.75 points. Like the Sensex, NSE's Nifty started trading today with a gain of 74.40 points at the level of 23,250.45 points. Due to the start of selling as soon as the market opened, this index fell to 23,165.30 points. However, after the first 20 minutes of trading, the buyers became active in the market and started buying, due to which the movement of this index gained momentum. After the initial 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, Nifty was trading at 23,220.65 points with a gain of 44.60 points.
Earlier on Tuesday, the last trading day, the Sensex closed at 76,499.63 points with a gain of 169.62 points i.e. 0.22 percent. On the other hand, Nifty ended Tuesday's trading at 23,176.05 points with a gain of 90.10 points i.e. 0.39 percent.
