The 8th edition of PPC has achieved an unprecedented feat with more than 3.5 crore registrations from students, teachers and parents from India and abroad. This remarkable response underlines the growing resonance of the program as a true mass movement. The online registration for PPC-2025 started on 14 December last year on the MyGov portal. The portal is open till 14 January. The immense popularity of the programme highlights its success in addressing the mental health of students and promoting a positive attitude towards examinations.
Organised annually by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, this interactive programme has become a much-awaited celebration of education. The 7th edition of PPC in 2024 was held in the town hall format at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi. Last year, around 2.26 crore students, parents and teachers had registered. This reflects the widespread enthusiasm for the programme among students across the country.
In line with the spirit of PPC, a series of engaging activities have been scheduled at the school level from 12 January (National Youth Day) to 23 January (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti). These activities aim to promote holistic development and motivate students to celebrate examinations as a festival.
These activities include indigenous sports sessions, marathon races, meme competitions, street plays, yoga-cum-meditation sessions, poster-making competitions, inspirational film screenings, mental health workshops and counselling sessions, poetry, songs and performances. Through these activities, PPC 2025 reinforces its message of resilience, positivity and joy in learning, ensuring that education is celebrated as a journey rather than a pressure-driven task.
