Delhi, 13 January (H.S.): Kho-Kho World Cup 2025 was inaugurated with a grand and colorful program at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in the capital on Monday evening. This event added another chapter to Indian sports history.

The program started with the National Anthem, after which the symbolic unveiling of the World Cup .The artists performed a captivating dance, which showcased the variations of Kho-Kho game. This presentation was successful in instilling enthusiasm among the audience.

Athletes from 23 countries took part in the march past. Players from every country reached the stadium with their national flags. The Indian team joined in the end in its distinctive traditional style, which was appreciated by the audience with thunderous applause.

There was tremendous enthusiasm among the people of Delhi about the Kho-Kho World Cup. The stadium was packed with spectators at the opening ceremony.

Vice President Jagdeep Singh Dhankhar graced the opening ceremony. Other dignitaries including Indian Olympic Association President PT Usha, Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, renowned wrestler Khali, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla and Kho-Kho Federation of India President Sudhanshu Mittal also marked their presence.

The tournament will run from January 13 to 19.
