Kohima, 4 September (HS): Six persons killed while many others were injured in a landslide on National Highway-29 in Nagaland due to cloudburst. The incident, which happened early this morning, completely blocked the Dimapur-Kohima National Highway. According to the information, all the six bodies have been recovered.

The deceased in this incident have been identified as Khrisanguli (46), Samir Dutta (43), Anhiyu (57, female), Daju (60), Sopon Biswas (32) and Vijay (28). Till the time of filing this report, the injured include Rujuozi (36, female), Suhail Akram (38) and Anil Chaudhary (27).

Nagaland CM Nephew Rio condoles the incident . An urgent notice has been issued to address growing concerns about possible shortage of essential commodities and fuel after this landslide. According to the district administration, there is currently no shortage of essential commodities or fuel despite a portion of National Highway-29 being affected by the landslide. The administration assured that the supply of these vital commodities is being maintained through alternative routes.
