Gandhinagar, September 16 (HS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the second phase of the metro train in Gandhinagar Sector 1 on Monday afternoon. This metro will go from Motera to Gandhinagar Sector 1. The Prime Minister himself took a ticket by e-payment and rode the metro. He also reviewed the work with the officials.
PM Modi rode the metro train from Gandhinagar Sector 1 to Gift City. During this, a large number of people had reached Gandhinagar Sector 1 station to welcome the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister was welcomed with drums. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Governor Acharya Devvrat were also present with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the time of inauguration of the metro train.
The Prime Minister flagged off the metro train amid tight security arrangements. After this, the Prime Minister, Governor and Chief Minister rode the metro together. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel shared this information on his social media account. This project has provided modern transport facility connecting both the cities - Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad.
This metro train will go from Motera to Gandhinagar Sector 1. That is, the metro train network has been connected from Vasna APMC to Gandhinagar Sector 1. This distance of 33.5 km will be covered in 65 minutes by metro train. Its maximum fare will be Rs 35. In Phase 1, metro is running on a total route of 40 km including East West Corridor and North South Corridor. In Phase 2, metro will run on a distance of 20 km from Motera to Gandhinagar Sector 1. The metro train will leave from Gandhinagar Sector 1 at 7.20 am. It will reach GNLU at 7.36 am and Motera at 7.55 am. After this, the last train from Sector 1 will leave at 6.40 pm. The first train will leave from Motera at 8 am. GNLU at 8.17 am, Sector 1 at 8.35 am, Motera at 6 pm, last train in the evening.
