Guwahati, 06 July (HS). union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday over the phone regarding the flood situation in Assam. In the conversation, the Home Minister assured the Chief Minister of full assistance from the Central Government to deal with the floods and for the relief and rehabilitation of the people. He said that in this difficult time, the Central Government stands with the flood-affected people of Assam. They will be given all possible help.

CM gave detailed information to Home Minister Amit Shah on the phone regarding the updated status of floods in Assam. The Chief Minister told the Home Minister that due to heavy rains in Arunachal, this time Assam has again come under the grip of floods for the second time. The Chief Minister gave full information to the Home Minister regarding the relief and rescue work being done by the Assam government.

It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke to Chief Minister Dr Sarma over the phone on July 1 regarding the floods. He had instructed the Chief Minister that there should be no shortage in the relief and rescue work of the flood victims in the state. It should be noted that the central government is very serious about the problem of floods in Assam. The central government is constantly monitoring the situation in Assam.
