26 July (HS): Rakshanda Khan, director of a renowned academy, and her husband
Shahnawaz Khan were arrested by the Civil Lines police station on Friday on
charges of pressurizing girl students to convert to Islam religion.
Three days
ago, the students of the academy situated on Kanth Road in the police station
area, in a complaint letter given to the District Magistrate, had accused the
academy director Rakshanda Khan of pressurizing them to convert to Islam religion
and motivating them to live with Muslim boys. Also, regarding the products used
in the academy, it was said that fake and expired items are filled in the boxes
of genuine products and are used. In this case, the police station civil police
had registered a case against the accused operator, her husband Shahnawaz Khan
and another accused.
Jatin
Kumar Saini, a student of Lakme Academy and students Tania Chaudhary and Swati
Pal, who learned makeup, hair and skin work at Kanth Road in Civil Line area,
had given a letter to the District Magistrate saying that the owner of the academy
is Rakshananda Khan. At the time of entry, there was a ban on eating meat, fish
etc. But in the academy, meat and fish are eaten daily. In the academy, any
Hindu students who oppose this are brainwashed.
The
complainants allege that they are being induced to convert to Muslim religion.
Academy director Rakshanda Khan says that she was earlier a Hindu and is now a
Muslim. That's why she often inspires girl to get closer with Muslim boys and
live together. The children of Muslim community are given a lot of help in the
academy, but the children of Hindu community are unnecessarily harassed. Hindu
students are prohibited from tying Kalava and female students are prohibited
from wearing bindi, vermilion and wearing mangalsutra etc. The victims said
that the products used at the academy were being heavily gamed. Empty bottles
and containers of genuine products are filled with fake products, which are
first used on children. Applicant Tanya Chaudhary says that this fake product
was used on her too. Due to which there was allergy on her face. She barely got
better after getting treatment from the doctor. The complainants had requested
District Magistrate Anuj Kumar Singh to take action in the matter. After this,
the Civil Lines police station had registered a case against the accused
operator Rakshanda Khan, her husband Shahnawaz Khan and another accused.
Superintendent of Police City Akhilesh Bhadoria said that on Friday, the
academy operator Rakshanda Khan and her husband Shahnawaz Khan were arrested.
