New Delhi, 16 July (H.S.): The Delhi Police is expected to submit a charge sheet on Tuesday in the assault case against AAP MP Swati Maliwal, which allegedly involved Bibhav Kumar, an aide to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. According to official sources, the investigation is almost complete and the police are ready to present the charge sheet at the Tis Hazari court.
The charge sheet consists of over 1,000 pages and includes testimonies from security staff present at Kejriwal's residence during the incident.
The police have also seized many devices, including Kumar's two mobile phones, and have even taken him to Mumbai twice to retrieve deleted data from his phones. Maliwal has accused Kumar of assaulting her during her visit to the Chief Minister's residence on May 13. This case has garnered significant attention as it involves a high-profile politician and raises questions about the safety and treatment of women in positions of power.
Many are eagerly awaiting the outcome of the charge sheet and subsequent legal proceedings in this case.
