New Delhi, 11 June (HS): Ashwini Vaishnav, a senior member of Prime Minister Narendra Modi cabinet, on Tuesday took over as union Minister of Information and Broadcasting in New Delhi.

Prime Minister Modi has retained the post of Railway Minister with him, expressing confidence in him. This time he has also been given the responsibility of Information and Broadcasting Minister and Minister of Electronics and Information Technology.

Apart from this, S Jaishankar also took over as Foreign Minister. The Prime Minister has not made any changes in his department. Jaishankar thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for assigning this responsibility on the X handle.
