Meerut, 15 May (HS): On Wednesday, BJP councillor Uttam Saini staged a protest against the Jal Nigam over lying wrong pipeline in Old Mohanpuri of Civil Lines police station area.

He accused the Jal Nigam officials of arbitrariness. According to Mohanpuri resident BJP councillor Uttam Saini, the pipeline was laid by the Jal Nigam a few days ago in Old Mohanpuri. The workers hastily laid the pipeline incorrectly. Because of this, dirty water has started entering people's homes.

People complained about this to the councillor. After this, cleaning was done by the Municipal Corporation employees. Even after this, this problem is coming to the fore every day. Now the Municipal Corporation employees have also refused to do the cleaning.

On Wednesday, people along with the BJP councillor staged a dharna at the office of Jal Nigam Executive Engineer Mohit Verma. Jal Nigam has assured to repair the pipeline. People warned of agitation if the problem is not resolved.
