Imphal, April 26 (HS). Despite close vigilance by security forces in violence-hit Manipur, drug smugglers are not desisting from smuggling. Every day, along with the recovery of arms, ammunition etc., drugs are also being recovered in Manipur. In this connection, police informed today that Manipur Police and security forces caught a child in violation of the law. During the search of the child, 23 grams of suspected brown sugar, a two-wheeler, a mobile phone and Rs 79 thousand eight hundred in cash were recovered from his possession.

The arrested child is being interrogated. An FIR has been registered in this regard and further legal action has been initiated.
