46 polling stations in Dhubri operated by women


Dhubri, 06 May (HS): Preparations for the third phase of voting in Dhubri parliamentary constituency have been completed. A total of 11 assembly seats come under the Dhubri Lok Sabha seat. These include Golakganj, Gauripur, Dhubri, Birsingh Jarua, Bilasipara, Mankachar, Goalpara East, Jaleshwar, Srijangram, Mandiya and Chenga constituencies.

The total number of voters in this area is 26,60,827. Of these, 13,62,217 are male voters while 12,98,585 are female voters. The total number of polling stations in the constituency is 3,024. 46 polling stations run by women have been created. Of the polling stations, 1114 are sensitive and 227 are super sensitive. 14,518 polling officers have been deployed in Dhubri constituency to conduct the voting. At the same time, 11,162 security personnel have been deployed at these booths.
