Jharkhand HC stays NB warrant against Rahul Gandhi in remarks against Amit Shah case

Ranchi, 25 April (HS): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday got a big relief from the Jharkhand High Court in the case of his remarks against senior BJP leader Amit Shah. The High Court has stayed the non-bailable warrant issued against him by the Chaibasa Civil Court till the next hearing. Besides, the court has also stayed the proceedings going on in the lower court. The court of Justice Rajesh Kumar has directed the informant of this case to file a reply.

This case is related to making objectionable statements against the former National President of BJP and currently the Home Minister of the country, Amit Shah.

Chaibasa Civil Court, while hearing the contempt case on February 27, had issued a non-bailable warrant against Rahul Gandhi. Against which Rahul Gandhi had filed a petition in the High Court through his advocate. High Court advocates Piyush Chitresh and Dipankar Rai argued on behalf of Rahul Gandhi.
